Dario P. Davies, CEO

Dario Davies graduated with distinction from the School of Architecture at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Mr. Davies spent the first 10 years of his career working with Daniel, Mann, Johnson and Mendenhall (DMJM) at the company headquarters in Los Angeles, California. While at the company, he worked as a Project Architect on many projects in countries around the world. At DMJM, Mr. Davies developed a deep commitment to providing quality service to his clients. Working on projects overseas, Mr. Davies learned the value of communicating clearly with clients and the importance of documenting the process of design and construction.

Mr. Davies returned Washington to attend Georgetown University, where he obtained his MBA. Mr. Davies then joined J. Webb, Inc. as a development partner for five years working on various commercial projects including high end shopping centers, office buildings, industrial flex buildings, day care centers, and commercial land development projects.

Mr. Davies formed MasterBuilt Companies Inc. in 1994 as a response to the need of many clients for a high quality commercial contractor. MasterBuilt started building high end retail stores in area malls and then expanded into the food and beverage arena with custom restaurants. Today, MasterBuilt is a full service commercial contractor that can accommodate a client's needs, whether it is a small 800sq/ft interior space, or a 120,000sq/ft retail shopping center.

Because of his strong commitment to quality, Mr. Davies maintains memberships in ICSC, AIA, and is NCARB certified. Mr. Davies enjoys designing light fixtures and furniture. He is an avid squash player, skier, and gardener.
